Stillwater Sunrise Rotary Club - Stillwater, Minnesota

With the success of the Croixdale project in 2006, our club looked to share that experience with another local center. Stillwater's Golden Livingcenter - Linden provided us the opportunity to help their residents by purchasing a video magnifier.

On Friday, April 11th, 2008, Club President Orwin Carter and Community Service Director Mark Fisher met the Linden residents and staff to demonstrate the magnifier's use. Mark Fisher was instrumental in coordinating this project by writing and submitting the District 5960 Simplified Grant application.

With the combination of a $1,400 contribution from our club and a $1,000 from the DSG, we were able to purchase the video magnifier for Linden. The District Simplified Grant program is funded through the Rotary Foundation.

Linden's Executive Director, Jenny Allen thanked our club for our service and the residents showed their appreciation through their excitement to use the device.
